Overall a great one night stay at the Water's Edge Resort & Spa. Booked through Travel Zoo for the discounted room, $50 breakfast voucher, and $50 spa voucher. We opted for separate rooms, did not spend the $$ on ocean view which if we were to go again we would probably spend the money for the view as it is stunning. Hotel staff are very friendly and extremely accommodating allowing for early check-in for both of us. We waited a few hours for the second room as they were able to get us connecting rooms which was a bonus. Rooms are very spacious. You can tell throughout entire property it definitely needs some updating. The rooms AC unit was a bit loud, some mold in shower, and TVs are older (not a big deal in the summer when you're spending time outside). We had drinks, lunch, and dinner outside at Sunset Bar & Grill. Friendly, attentive staff even on a busy weekend (we went on Father's Day Weekend/first day of Summer). I thought the drink menu had a great variety and the food was fresh/delicious. We had breakfast in the morning, out waitress was very pleasant. Good portion sizes and again I thought the menu had something for everyone. Main reason for the 4/5 star was disappointing spa experience. We both scheduled a 50 minute swedish massage. Front desk staff were very nice, locker rooms are very clean and spacious. There was a relaxation room to wait for the masseuse which had lemon water, granola bars, tea/coffee. The massage itself was very very basic, nothing to rave about. Was not asked about any specific "focus/problem" areas, masseuse came out to get me and immediately said she needed water as she hadn't had any all day and she started getting a sore throat/sniffling. During the massage you could hear guest/employees talking/laughing in the hallway. Massage was not gently when moving extremities or sheets. Pressure of the massage was bear minimum. On the way out 2 guests were talking very very loudly in the entry way (again, SPA) and multiple guests were disrupted. I do not think there is such thing as a bad massage but we were very underwhelmed and disappointed in the lack of relaxation. Would be more irritated if we paid full price. Maybe we were just anticipating to much? Next time we will skip the spa although it does offer a wide selection of services. For the price we were able to get through the discount, it was a very great stay!! Could not say enough great things about the staff. I do not think I would pay full price for the rooms given the updates it needs. We did not use the beach or pool, both areas look a bit small and crammed cars. Has an updated gym and inside pool/ hot tub that we did not use.

“NOT FOR A GIRLS TRIP”

Went on a girls trip thinking this was a resort and spa which it is but for FAMILIES with CHILDREN! Many many children so if your looking for a quiet overnight choose differently. Beautiful place , well kept and clean , great staff if you’re looking for pool and beach for your family .
