Upon arrival, was warmly greeted by "Kevin." Checking-In was quick and easy and several amenities were explained. Complimentary breakfast was great! I was pleasantly surprised to see healthier options available including fruit & oatmeal in addition to varieties of breads, eggs, potatoes, bacon and the popular waffle maker. Hotel grounds and property are immaculate! Pool and fitness room were clean. Our room was spacious, modern and very clean. There is a large department store right across the street as well as many dining options for every budget within walking distance. Would highly recommend and will definitely return to this Marriott property in Madison.

The lady who checked us in was very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are well thought out and very comfortable. The sofa is the most comfortable hotel sofa I've ever used. The negatives are I could hear the person's every movement in the room above us. Also, I did not like the view of a cemetery… more

The lady who checked us in was very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are well thought out and very comfortable. The sofa is the most comfortable hotel sofa I've ever used. The negatives are I could hear the person's every movement in the room above us. Also, I did not like the view of a cemetery from our room. It was just past the parking lot and rather eerie looking at night.

Overall it's a pretty decent hotel. As is typical with the brand they are very overpriced though, particularly the studio suites. Overall it's a pretty decent hotel. As is typical with the brand they are very overpriced though, particularly the studio suites. The larger suites are more spacious, but even they're probably $20-30 more expensive than they need to be. Would be understandable if they were the only game in town, but if you're willing to drive another 5 minutes or so you can find comparable quality at a much better value. If the location of the hotel is preferred -it's kind of falls at the edge of what could be considered downtown Madison- or you just really like this chain then it's probably going to be fine, since you're used to overpaying. Otherwise look elsewhere first before deciding to stay here. Again, it's not bad, not at all. You can just find better value nearby. And to clarify, when I say value I don't just mean cheaper. I mean finding a better price while not having to really sacrifice on quality.
