Our big team and I stayed one night in this hotel. Arrived late and departed early. Hotel is located in the heart of old historical area of Bukhara where most of the city landmarks in a walking distance. Big room, very clean, shows location of Qibla. Toilet amenities with toothpaste and brush, hot water, great WiFi and amazing breakfast.

“Good hotel in the heart of the old town”

We stayed for two nights as part of an organised tour. Arriving after midnight on the first night we were efficiently greeted with welcome drinks and nibbles. “With Some Fixes Could Be A 4 Star Stay”

3.5 stars in reality. 2 nights in room #104 from 25th April on an Adventures Abroad tour. In an excellent location to the Old Town but tour buses can only get approx 200 m away. 3.5 stars in reality. 2 nights in room #104 from 25th April on an Adventures Abroad tour. In an excellent location to the Old Town but tour buses can only get approx 200 m away. Assistance is then given with suitcase transfers. A typical Stan’s hotel with then too many steps up to the entrance door and with no ramp for luggage or mobility impaired guests. Part of the Hotel Asia chain, which seems to have tried to lift its standards in recent times. Very efficient hotel check-in in a very busy hotel; late in the day. Many tour groups would have just come across the Turkmenistan border. Many hotel wings. Our 3 story block had a lift but there are too many level changes to walk around the whole hotel. The door out of reception at the back left is very poorly designed ie too narrow and with a floor protuberance for the constant stream of people with bags attempting to go through it. Why? The room was ok, clean, the window could be opened and had a fly screen. The split air con worked well. The bathroom was very small. In theory, toilet paper was not supposed to be flushed. No facial tissues or small vials of hand lotion were supplied. Such low cost items, that would help make this chain a 4 star stay. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water, though the bath plug was slow to drain. In room wi-fi worked well. No in room safe for a hotel whose bread and butter is international tourists. Why? Good, bright room lights. The power point closest to the desk is very hard to get at and you have to unplug the fridge there to gain access to electricity. Why such poor design?? The king sized bed was well set up. I know that many others find Stan’s mattresses too firm; but that suits us as does the firm pillows. Our AA tour evening meal here was excellent. Breakfast was less inspiring with too much food not labelled and very watery juice. There was at least some fresh fruit and yoghurt tubs. The brown bread was the highlight.

“There are many better hotels than this in Bukhara!!”

The receptionist was very polite and helpful. The pool was cold but very clean. The breakfast was dissapointing, cold,tasteless porridge, sliced white stale bread, three coffee machines were broken. There was little service from the staff..
