Well, what can I say. easy Don't believe the photos posted on their web site or any other website. Most of the facilities are not functioning even though the manager Helene assured me in an email a week before I arrived. The pool was green around the edges and needed to be cleaned. Two days before we left, they super chlorine dosed it so it may have got better. However, the decking around the pool is in need of urgent repairs and looked like it would break in some places if you stepped on it. the pool bar all nicey nicey in the photos is not functional and just has things stored behind it. Same with the reception counter. The reclining lounges around the pool and on the beach and in the little shelter near the pool were rusted and broken and probably collapse. I was lucky enough to find two that were ok and moved them to in front of our beech fare under the tree se we could use them. The restaurant? The food was average to say the least and bland unless you go for the burgers for breakfast lunch and dinner. We ended up walking a short distance along the road to Paradise Cove Resort and ate at their restaurant. The manager there came up and introduced herself and chattered to us and every guest every time we were there. Helene at Coco beach could learn a thing or two from her. She never approached us once. I compared the prices, and Paradise Cove is a tiny bit more expensive, but you get breakfast and all working facilities and great food and drinks. The manager at Coco Beach shows up every now and then but never comes to say hello or how are things. probably too embarrassed because she knows you have been duped. having said all that we laughed it off because the location was perfect, and our room was clean, and it feels like you have your own private beach which we did because no one else was there. (mm I wonder why/) The staff are great and really friendly. I felt sorry for them trying their hardest with a lack of resources. The owner should be ashamed. The disappointing thing is they still charge top dollar for a place with basically a room is all you get. In the end we still chilled and relaxed and enjoyed the beach and the staff we interacted with. If you go just don't expect what you see in the photos. This was the first time I booked without reading reviews first and I won’t make that mistake again! Shameful misrepresentation.
