Breakas adults only resort was just what we were looking for, we wanted to chill out with no children around and relax so Breakas was perfect! We had the beachfront Bure no 32 it was beautiful especially the view and comfy bed plus the sound of the ocean while sleeping and the outdoor shower. The cute cats that come to visit make you relax too, just don't feed them at the restaurant. The Bure has no air conditioning but once we changed the fan to anti clockwise on the remote for the air to blow down it was perfect, I actually got a bit cold one night and had to turn the fan down to low. There is a nice breeze too. Just an FYI, the first room offered to us was beachfront Bure no 4 but once we inspected it we weren't happy with it, as it is way too close to the bar/restaurant area with people sitting right out the front smoking on tables and chairs, they happily accommodated us requesting another room on the other side and it was soo much better and very quiet. If you get a key to no 4 Beachfront Bure inspect it first before taking your luggage there. Food is amazing! Service is amazing and cocktails are the strongest we've ever had! There is a little mini mart directly across the road from the resort that closes at 9.30pm daily, it sell's alcohol too except from 12 midday Saturday and all day on Sunday. The massages especially Farni was soo good but book as soon as you arrive as they get booked out. Snorkelling is really good off the beach at the resort but you will need reef shoes. Wifi is only at restaurant and bar area. We booked a private driver named Jackson to go to Moso Island, the tour and private transport guys are standing outside of the mini mart if you would like to keep it local, they are awesome! We washed our teeth in the tap water but bought bottled water from the mini mart to drink. We walked about 10-15 mins up the road from the resort to Three Pigs Restaurant and Bar, we spent a few hours there having a long lunch while it was a rainy day, the service, food and wine was great! There is a lot of vans (buses) with B on them to flag down for transport, they are everywhere. Cost us around $3 one way plus a tip from us to go into town 15 mins away. If your flight is delayed on departure day, reception can call your transfer to delay your pick up. If I was to nitpick it would be that the pool is cold but we mainly swam in the ocean and snorkelled. We can't wait to go back again one day!

“Lovely holiday”

Just returned from a relatively short holiday as our original flight over was cancelled. 9 females who all enjoyed Breakas. We particularly enjoyed Regina’s service in the restaurant, with her great sense of humour, and Jack in the Bar, who made great cocktails. The breakfast had a great selection, kept us going all day! Would love to be able to have some of the Bar Snacks at dinner, the Caesar salad.. yummy, hence I had dinner at 4pm a couple of times, to be able to enjoy it. The staff were all very obliging and friendly. The grounds are kept immaculate and felt slightly guilty walking on the sand after it had been raked! Can’t help the weather, but we all had a great time. Thanks Breakas

“Great place - just don’t expect any level of customer service”

Great location and generally good facilities. Bar Staff and general restaurant wait staff are dismissive and generally avoid any level of customer service. The bar staff are shocking. I get it’s “island time” but on any other part of the planet - even Fiji these 🤡 would be unemployable

A good location with handy access to busses and taxis about 10 minutes to town. Handy dairy across the road. Went with a friend for 7 nights Resort could definitely benefit from some updating, ie work needed for safer access from bar to back seating, safer steps from beach to pool, especially as there were older guests. The breakfast is basic. One toaster was not adequate for the number of guests (as previously stated in earlier reviews). Insect covers for the fruit required as the flies were very evident (also in earlier reviews) Waiting times for the meals was up to 1 hour which is not good for some. To keep things simple I paid for my meals as I had them which was great. The majority of the staff were extremely helpful including waitresses, housekeepers and security. We had a dispute with a duty manager on the Melanesian buffet night as we had booked a table for 5.30 in advance yet on the night we were told to come back at 6.30 as the chef was too busy - really? The manager did eventually apologise and on our final day even offered to get me a coffee, not aware of the drama that was being caused by reception regarding an earlier pick up time which they had not told us about, nor made any attempt to leave a note or phone call for us. The rude attitude of the receptionist to my friend was disgusting customer service - unbelievable for the hospitality industry. Receptionist told us we had to go NOW or we wd miss check in. (Which was not open for an hour after we got to airport.) We were subjected to the aggressive attitude of the transfer driver to the point where he tried to drive off with our cases and 2 other guests who told us. Pleased to see an ATM in reception but it was out of order for our entire stay despite being told 2-3 times it wd be fixed The infinity pool was great. Found the current in the sea needed to be respected if u wanted to get further out for snorkeling which is average. The holiday was tainted with the dramas caused by the staff which was a shame as we paid good money to have a relaxing holiday C Bethell
