I got another two nights here via a casino promotion, this time I decided to opt in the Intercontinental for a change. I was given a standard queen size double bed room, with a golf course and garden view. Much smaller than the one in HI, about 25 sqm or maybe 30, but the decoration was more homely and classic, so it gave it a more homely and cosier feel to it. This was awarded into the week, with all restaurants downstairs closing their kitchens early. I tried the in-dining room service here for two nights. It was outstanding, excellent quality and service. I have included some pictures, very decent pricing overall, if only the wine maybe a little expensive. The breakfast service was given here by Ginger Restaurant. The dining room was smaller but as opposed to LG, it was almost never crowded even attending my breakfast way later in the morning. I was seated by the waitresses, which I am not a great fan of, but I appreciate the attention of this service. The buffet was smaller but with much better temperature control in the hot plates. The eggs section, they were MADE TO ORDER, as it should be, with a competent cook constantly on the griddle. I got my runny eggs finally feeling hot in the mouth! But there were still some minor issues here. The pastry offerings were similar in both restaurants, I enjoyed it immensely in both restaurants. The pools that are shared with HI, are absolutely DIVINE. They feel like thermal waters at all times. Unlike in other places that are almost freezing cold. And SO divine is the private beach right below, absolutely heavenly space. The water does not seem very clean though, and there are warning flags about medusa hazards, but you could tread in with some care even for a short time. I dipped in for a good half an hour without issues. CONS VS. HOLIDAY INN NEXT DOOR The room had some minor faults. The wooden floor looked really old and outdated, like it was out of place in terms of standards. The face mirror in the bathroom had either been stripped of the main lens, or else it felt a bit awkward. The hot water in the bathroom was not running fully in the basin, if I had wanted to shave, I would have needed the kettle, which is a downside. In the HI room I had none of these problems. The Ginger restaurant feels cosier but with the smaller size, the hot section has less variety of food, which it was felt vs the LG with many centre islands available. There was no hot drink coffee machine here, only a cold self service tray, handy if you like some juices or some nice Ca Phe Sua Da, which I love, but I also love the hot lattes pulled off the machine, or even better, a self made Ca Phe Sua Da fresh with 2 espresso shots, rather than stored Viet Coffee that has been there possibly for ages.

I have stayed in many hotels around the world, but I have to say nothing compares to the Intercontinental in Ho Tram Vietnam. The overall experience left me feeling a sense of satisfaction, pride and relaxation. The one thing that stood out was the friendliness and professionalism of the staff from the front desk to the cleaning staff and the restaurant staff, this is why you go back and stay there again and again. Thank you for making my stay so memorable

What left the deepest impression was the professionalism of the staff — from the seamless shuttle and check-in to the particularly warm hospitality of the team at Ginger restaurant. It's exactly the kind of attentiveness that elevates a stay beyond just its amenities. A lovely surprise was the room upgrade, which came with a sweeping view over the golf course — truly unexpected. Despite a slightly overcast sky, the trip felt complete in its own way. I spent my time lounging by the pool, sipping champagne and enjoying a cigar in a beachfront cabana — a slow, unhurried afternoon that was everything a getaway should be. My sincere thanks to the hotel team for that thoughtful gesture.
