Phu Quoc Island turned out to be the best last stop on our 33 day travels of Vietnam we started in the north... Ha Giang traveling south to this lovely Island. Mango Bay was a paradise, the villa we had was looking over the ocean and in a lovely forested surround. We even had monkeys visit up in our open room bathroom shower.. they got to know us over out short 5 days. The beach was beautiful, swimming out to dock in safe calm waters, lovely beach chairs and service for lunch drinks right there. Also lot of amenities kayaks snorkels all there. And for us just relaxing watching fisherman day and night. The restaurant down by the water was our go to. The main one for breakfast too as the waters lap by your table. Could not be better. The gals were fun and so caring from turning our bedrooms down at night to dining ... always a smile and interested in our day.. outings. The little village is just a short walk, among many restaurants, outings we did one tour but regret as would have just loved enjoying more of our surroundings. The Host was lovely, he would sit and chat with you to see if they could do more for you or suggest things, live music too was wonderful. We my daughter and I truly loved all the nature around us and the ocean.. and most our host.. all of them.. from cooks to gardeners.. lovely... thank you ever so much ... a definite return... longer next time... ps they even have a huge garden area growing food for your stay... food was amazing from breakfast to dinner.. and room are well equipped with all you need for an after dinner drink or a afternoon sip.. well equipped.. best I have ever seen..

This is the most beautiful, comfortable, charming place. The staff are utterly superb and could not have done enough to help us whenever we needed anything. The food is superb, all orchestrated by the brilliant Head Chef, Scotty. The topography is glorious with all its private beaches. The wooden bungalows, on stilts, are wonderfully stylish with an understated air. This place is suitable for all ages and lots form children to do. we would like to go back there every year.

This is a real gem of a resort, so much so we changed our flights and opted to stay an extra night! You are completely immersed in nature here and the accommodations blend seamlessly into the surrounds. We had 2 different accommodation types, the first 4 nights in one of the Superior Garden View Rammed Earth Bungalows and the last in one of the Superior Sea View Veranda Rooms. Both sets of accommodations were amazing - particularly the outdoor bathrooms - and had the same in room amenities, but the bungalow was more private with it's own veranda, outdoor table & chairs and sun loungers. The outdoor bathroom area was also much larger. We really appreciated the conservation efforts of providing glass bottles for drinking water which you could take to be refilled. Also provided were beach bags and beach towels to be used during your stay. The only big negative in both rooms is the lack of shelving to put anything on and you essentially have to live out of your suitcase. The service from ALL THE STAFF here was second to none!! The manager also made a point greeting all guests during their stay which was appreciated. The breakfast was out of this world - so many continental options and a good selection of cooked breakfasts both western and local - and was so filling it kept us going until dinner. We ate here in the evening twice, once in the On the Rock Restaurant and once at the Beach Bar, and although both meals were excellent and beautifully presented, they were not the cheapest (it is a resort after all) so we are off site the remainder of our time there. There are 2 beaches, one quieter and rockier, the other near the Beach Bar restaurant which had a great swimming area and also then the option to get refreshments. Sun loungers were plentiful with both sunny and shady options. Other offerings that we didn't make use of but are available are the spa, activity centre (kyaks, snorkeling gear etc.), complimentary bicycles, and several times per day complimentary shuttle to the town should you wish to explore further. This is definitely more than a 3 star resort in my opinion and you will not be disappointed if you stay here!!
