At the end of your trip when you are tired and need deep relaxation then Sea Sense is the place you go to. Peaceful and quiet! You can feel the Ocean breeze on your face. Precaution - The resort is in outskirts, need to travel 30-40 minutes to anywhere like Winwonders, Grand world or Doung Doung night market. You will have to book a cab which may cost you a little. When we checked during our stay, it was nearly VND 220,000 to Night market, 350,000 VND to Grand world. Some Cons - Food Hardly any vegetarian choice. You will only get Bread, butter, some vegetables and fruits if you are vegetarian specially Indian vegetarian. We requested for a Pizza for dinner at Sunset restaurant. We requested them to remove any meat or sea food topping. Our request was denied and we’re told that they could not customise the pizza. Being in the outskirts, it is difficult to get good delivery. It takes nearly 60 minutes for anything vegetarian to delivery and delivery charges may become a little high. - Property rules It can be improved a little. We understand that each property has their rules and guests should abide by them. They are overdoing it. The way property rules were presented, it was more like a threat which made us afraid. We were asked to sign on the conditions at Front desk. When we entered the room, there was a detailed list of items available in the room with the price list for each item like bed sheets, pillows, coat hangers, tissue box holders, night lamps, vase etc. It was mentioned to check all the stuff and report back if anything is missing within 2 hours. Failing which it would be our responsibility. We panicked as some stuff was missing and panicked more assuming what will happen if something happens to TV or other electrical equipment as it was mentioned that we would be charged for repairs. It was not very welcoming. We are not against the rules, it’s just they are overdoing it. Staff - We had booked two Ocean facing rooms with balcony and bathtub. Room 501 had big Coconut trees blocking the view. The resort charged for the Ocean view but where was the view. When informed, we were told that the resort is full. - Bell boy who came to drop the luggage, placed it outside one room. When asked to split and deliver in both rooms, he was very hesitant and looked irritated. He placed the luggage outside in a hurry and ran off.

Our room on the beach was too far for us to walk to reception so a Tuk Tuk was needed. The driver was so miserable and thought he was a Formula 1 driver driving far too fast The breakfast was acceptable but the breakfast restaurant was up a number of steps. the food at beach bar and Sunset restaurant served very poor food, the Chef needs to learn how to cook meat as what we had was tough.

The Villa we had was in a stunning position right on the beach with beautiful views but it could do with a little revamp inc rusting ceiling fan and very tired and frayed beach towels but this is such a fantastic beach here we had a day trip to starfish beach although a nice beach we were glad we went early far too many tourists in the end we were glad to get back to this beach. But this beach needs more bins every day my wife walked along the beach picking up rubbish that had drifted in or left by guests but had to trek to find a bin to put it in Reception area is a bit tired as are the bars and restaurants although the breakfasts and meals in the restaurant were good We asked at reception about a trip to a pepper farm the lady said yes she can arrange a taxi to take us there and wait and bring us back VND 300,000 we booked it but it was very disappointing driver took us into Dương Đông and parked up in a shop car park shop said pepper farm shop to the side of the shop were maybe 50 or so pepper trees but it wasn’t what we expected no talk or tour just to buy different peppers already ground The swimming pool is Lovely but staff at the pool bar are quite unresponsive mostly just on their phones rather than looking to see if guests would like a drink or something or even clearing full tables and the more senior member of the bar staff is the most unfriendly of all The resort is quite isolated with a long driveway to the Hotel its very long and hilly you need to have a taxi just to get out to the local village Of all the places we have stayed in whilst in Vietnam this was the least friendly staff and even guests a lot of them avoided eye contact and ignored you if you said good morning The ladies in the Spa though were lovey special mention to Nga and Katie Also the room cleaning crew were very nice Overall we had a lovely break but this place needs improvements because of its position it could be very very special here Last time we visited Phu Quoc we stayed in the hotel/resort immediately next door the Camia Resort which was more upmarket and so much more friendly and well cared for and well run a much better resort but didn’t have this lovely beach

Experiences at Sea Sense Resort. First, the good things: -The hotel's sandy beach is peaceful and offers padded deck chairs and parasols. -The pool and garden areas were well maintained. -The breakfast was varied. Then some things to note about the hotel and the area: -After dark, the hotel area is poorly lit; only the driveways are lit, and all other paths and stairs are unlit, so a flashlight is a must. -The hotel only has one restaurant for dinner, so you basically have to leave the area to eat in the nearby village -The hotel is located at the bottom of a steep hill, so walking to the village along the road is challenging, especially in the dark. I recommend taking a shortcut through the neighboring hotel's beach. -The floor drain in our bathroom shower did not work, so the floor was covered in dirty water, which was very unhygienic. -The bathroom sink faucet was a model that only provided cold water, which was a bit unusual. -You couldn't put paper in the toilet, apparently due to drainage problems. -The TV in the room had poor reception and TV size was small
