We stayed six nights at Mercury Phu Quoc Resort & Villas and overall had a very enjoyable stay. The room was a great size, comfortable, and well kept. The pool was definitely a highlight, nice and big and a perfect place to relax. The reception team were always friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything. A special mention to Mr Khai Minh at breakfast, who took great care of our vegetarian requirements. He made the effort every morning and it didn’t go unnoticed, special thanks to him. Dining at the Romance Sea restaurant was generally good. The staff worked extremely hard, although at times things didn’t quite come together. On a couple of occasions, our food and drinks didn’t arrive at the same time, but we could see the team were doing their best. We also had a small misunderstanding at the pool bar regarding happy hour, which was resolved after we requested to speak to the manager. The hotel is right by the beach, which is lovely, and although it’s around 6 to 7 km from the nearest town, it’s easy enough to get around by taxi. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and appreciated the effort from all of the staff throughout.

Highly recommended beach resort in Phu Quoc. Approx 5 minutes Grab ride away from Duong To downtown where all the happenings are. Well maintained private beach. Bar by the pool. Very relaxing ambience. Access to gym and spa possibilities. Friendly and happy staff. Price worthy resort. Kid friendly resort with playground and kiddie pool. Rooms are large, modern and well equipped with fridge and safety box (had luxury garden view and luxury pool villa). Big and very comfortable beds. Large bathroom. Big terrace outside for garden view. Free kayaking. Beach volleyball available. Breakfast by the beach or by pool. Relaxing ambience. Multicultural large selection breakfast. Free afternoon tea. Very good a la carte menu on their restaurant. Mini mart in the proximity. Very helpful and friendly reception staff whose always willing to assist especially Trinh. ☺️ Free airport pick-up and drop off. Well maintained scooters for rental. Well maintained beach with free sunbeds, umbrellas and beach towels. Peaceful and relaxing resort.

“Good”

The rooms are large and comfortable. Cleanliness and service need improvement. Breakfast is average. The location is okay. We had an issue with the air conditioning, which stopped working twice (the maintenance team was helpful).

If I knew that Phu Quac is occupied by the Soviet Union people we would never come to the island. Apparently animal behaviour is tolerated in beautiful Phu Quac. Anyway, every year we travel to different countries in Asia with our kids for a month or longer and after a long journey from Norway we stayed at this hotel because of its location, close to the airport, beachfront and to “save” some money during our trip but I didn’t really expect much from this hotel, booked it mainly because of the beachfront and the pool was in in front as well and I think, that’s what you pay for actually, unfortunately the rest is just average not worth the money. We booked a dive in room in case the kids wanted to have a swim by the room. The room was spacious but renovation is highly recommended and not just the room. The water pressure in the shower, there is none, you should wash your hair in the spa, if you have the chance. We put always towel under the main door because of the gap, which can invite visitors from outside such as insects or rats. Surprisingly it is very quiet it the hotel during the day or if you want to chill on your terrace, except the take off planes that you can hear. It was a short walk through the well maintained flower garden to the breakfast area. If you wake up earlier, you can have a peaceful breakfast without hustle otherwise it feels like you have to fight to get food because the Russians act like the food is going to run out. Average Breakfast. I wanted actually to leave the hotel earlier but I tried to ignore all of that and just relax. There is live music at dinner time which is nice if they would stick with English music but you are forced to listen to Russian music also. The kids area is just a joke but our kids made the best out of it. No kids club. They should run the hotel as an adult only hotel and enjoy their guest from Russia and India. The staff: English, like always poor or not existent, young and not really trained but trying. Would recommend this hotel for 1-2 nights if you have an early flight.
