“Cocktails is good”

It was so good. I especially loved the cocktails I had at the bar by the sea. HAU Manager was kind.

A very reasonably priced luxury resort with plenty of things for kids to do. We loved everything. Kids’ pool and water slides were bonus when you travel with kids. It was a big place but very clean. Food was great! The tea time with different kinds of chocolates was amazing. Room was big and place was clean! 15mins to airport only! They have paid activities like rock climbing wall in the rope park. Our kids and so much fun there even my partner. Highly recommend to everyone at all ages! Planning to come back at some point!

My husband and I stayed here as part of our honeymoon. As a 5 star resort I had high expectations and was excited for our upcoming arrival however I was less than impressed. I'll start with the good points. We stayed in a Pool Villa which was generously spacious with a very generous sized private pool. Great location by the beach with a beach bar and I also really enjoyed Tropicana, a beachside dining venue with great cocktails. We also got a little cake and bed decorations as our honeymoon surprise which was nice. The grounds are beautiful but apart from that, the rest were negative. What disappointed me the most was the food and food options available. The buffet for breakfast and dinner at Pavillion was terrible. The bowls for the cereal were tiny, there were no fresh cutlery available at the buffet that you would normally find at other hotel buffets. A lot of the food was cold. Even the pancakes and waffles were a disappointment. Cold and not fluffy like they should be. I would have like to have seen cream and strawberries as an option for toppings to have with them as I found the options to accompany the pancakes and waffles were pretty ordinary. There was also quite a long line for breakfast everyday which became frustrating. They would open the conference room and send some guests there so they didn't have to wait in line but obviously not the nicest environment to sit and have breakfast in. The extremely loud music played during breakfast where the mascots would dance to for the kids was too much. I understand it's a family resort, but the volume they danced to was extremely loud for other visitors and there would be numerous dance numbers during breakfast instead of just 1 which would have been enough. Some of the food we ordered for room service was also ordinary, in particular the fried rice with no flavour or spice to it. When we ordered chips, I requested chilli sauce but it came with tomato sauce only. The food was a really disappointment for a 5 star hotel. Another major thing that really annoyed me was that were only 2-3 bottles a day, of movenpick water that was complimentary. The other water, if you wanted more was at a charge. Again, not 5 star standard. I couldn't order cocktails as room service which I didn't understand and was surprised to learn that they only assign 1 extra blanket per room. If you don't have enough blankets for the number of rooms then get more blankets. The facial I got at the spa was okay, but I have had better facials. Even though the spa itself was heaven. When we arrived we were dropped at the wrong villa number. When we ordered a buggy from the app to pick up from Tropicana, a different group of visitors jumped on it and the driver drove off. He didn't seem to check the room number for the booking request we made with the other visitors who jumped on unknowingly. When we also requested one the day of check out, it arrived 10 mins early. I told the member of staff he was early and if he could come back in 10 mins as we weren't ready, but 10 mins later when we were waiting, he never came back so we just decided to walk with our own luggage to reception as we needed to get to the airport on time and didn't have time to waste. Getting a taxi back to the airport didn't seem so smooth and straight forward and the doormen didn't really help us with our luggage when checking out and trying to get a taxi. I don't mean to be harsh and so negative but I hope to see some big changes if I am to return to this hotel or recommend it. The level just really isn't 5 star at all.
