Where should I start. This resort has the potential to be one of the best in Danang. The lush gardens, amazing pools and great open spaces are some of the main highlights, and not to mention it is situated directly beside the beach. Access is direct and is clean and perfect for families with small children, as it’s shallow. Our family enjoyed a 9 night stay and we had an amazing time. Pros : -Direct beach access -Amazing pool or should I say pools. Lagoon style pool to swim around, a great pool for the kids, and then an infinity pool to be shared by all. The space is amazing and it overlooks the beach which makes it all the more spectacular. -Open foyer reception area. As you walk in you are greeted by a beautiful sea breeze that cools you down in an instance -Location is only 10/15 minutes from downtown Danang and is very accessible via the grab app. We used grab every day and it cost roughly $6AU one way to get into town, so very affordable. -The staff were pleasant, special mention to Simon at the morning buffet breakfast. He made you feel at home every morning, greeting you and making you his special Vietnamese coffee. He created a great holiday ambience, something to be really commended, we miss him dearly! -This resort feels extremely spacious, but everything is in close walking distance. -Swim up bar - amazing -Money changing facilities, which makes it handy to change money. Rates are good and better than ones in the main town. -Great Gym with plenty of equipment to use. Mini mart inside the resort to get basic essentials, as it’s not close to many shops. -Food prices were really good for a resort, which made us eat here for lunches. Variety could be expanding, but the quality of food is really good. Drinks prices are also very good, cocktails were costing roughly $9 - $10 AU. You have to go to the swim up bar to order as they don’t offer service like other resorts where waiters would walk around and offer drinks etc. This is another area of improvement that would increase the vibe of the place. No music around the pool either, another missed opportunity. -Views from the pool is amazing and beach is super clean. Cons : - it’s connected to the Crown casino, so this hotel is heavily utilised by high rolling Chinese. The issue with this is, they bring a smoking culture to the resort, and unfortunately smoking in foyers, hallways and even outside rooms is the norm. It makes the walk from your room to the lift a quick one because of the smell of cigarettes. Don’t bother going into the casino as it’s full of high rolling Chinese people, and as soon as the doors open you are met with a plume of cigarette smoke. Minimum spend is $20 US dollars, so no cheeky $5 - $10 bets. -The resort is heavily focused on conferences, and have a high attention to detail for these guests. This takes away the “ typical holiday environment “. Staff would not greet you upon arriving to the hotel after a day of sightseeing, or leaving for a day of adventure. This is a missed opportunity as it wouldn’t take much to fix this. -Housekeeping - attention to detail is not there and needs improvement. We were a family of 4 and we were delivered 2 waters per day. I would ring the operator every day to explain we needed 4, and everyday they would deliver 2. It took till the 6 nights of this to be rectified. Only small issue but again the attention to detail is lacking in this regard. We also only ever had 2 cups and 2 mugs in the room, and even when I approached concierge, we never got 4 glasses to the room. Reused cups were left in the room after make up, this was a lowlight. -Don’t expect any extras for the kids like in Bali and Fiji. No towels made into shapes of animals etc. They have a kids area, however miss the mark as they don’t have any daily activities like other kids clubs around the world. Something that needs to be improved as this would attract more of a holiday crowd, rather then just a corporate conference type. -Hired equipment such as boogie board need upgrading, for a hotel of this nature, you expect better quality boards to hire. -No themed dinners like other resorts. No dinners by the beach etc. So it’s either dinner by the pool or in one of the high rolling Chinese restaurants. Tip - ensure you have negotiated the deposit upon checkin. They will request 2,000,000 dong as a deposit, however this is used for account. So when you purchase food and drink by the pool etc your deposit is being chewed up. We found out the hard way, when on day 3 I was asked to pay for my drink at the swim up bar. No one could really explain to me why, until I investigated further. The reason for the deposit being chewed up is that they have a lot of guest not paying for their drinks and food. So they used the deposit for this, and charge you without you knowing. So it’s not like other resorts where you just rack up a bill and pay at the end. This is something to be negotiated, and we were lucky enough to have this granted It is heavily supported by high rolling Chinese gamblers and conference groups, but the attention needs to be widespread. Staff need to do better to recognise the families and the kids. This will naturally attract a different group of people. It also has to do something about the cigarette smell which will be difficult as ash trays at every lift level promote the smoking culture, not overally great for kids and does feel you are living in the 80s again This resort is amazing however it could be so much better. Where it lacks souls, it’s made up by amazing facilities and open spaces. It is heavily focused to the high rolling gamblers and big conferences, and I believe this is a short fall for this resort. Would I stay here again - absolutely. Even with all the suggestions and improvements, our stay here was a memorable one as the facilities and pools were amazing.

Recently returned from a 10 day stay in a suite with ocean view. We were more than happy with our room and balcony. But, we requested pick up from the airport, no one was there so after looking round for our name, we got a Grab. At the hotel, reception staff did not understand us when we asked why we had not been picked up. We were given our door cards and waved in the general direction of our room! No one took our cases for us. When you pay $6,000 for a room, you don’t expect to have to get your own cases there! Pool bar staff were slow and ran out of cocktail ingredients. Dining room staff need to understand the concept of a buffet breakfast, not clearing your table when you get up to make a coffee! There was one do it yourself coffee machine, completely inadequate for a hotel of this size. Came back to our room after the cleaners had been in and found broken glass on the floor! We had not broken a glass! Fell asleep on the beach only to be woken by someone asking for our room number! The beach was lovely, the pool was good and the grounds well maintained.
