Absolutely lovely. Received like royalty with drink and snacks, upgraded room and very helpful staff, though we are budget travelers with a kid of 6. They have afternoon tea with exquisite selection of cakes and snacks, a decent exercise room and charming pool. A play room next to the bar/tea area (also vis a vis the exercise room) where one also can have a meal. Very practical that these are all on the same floor when you have a kid with you. Beautiful interiors, charming and elegant. We just loved this hotel. Stayed afterwards at Wyndham down the street. That in contrast was devoid of charm. At Monarque you really get a singular experience to remember. Also, the night we came they had a celebration organized for their staff. To thank them for a good effort through the year. I love a place that takes good care of their people. I recommend this place highly!!

“Elegant hotel with fine service”

The hotel is in a good location with easy beach access. Our room had a great view of the ocean. Breakfast buffet was very good. Pool is very inviting. The hotel is in a good location with easy beach access. Our room had a great view of the ocean. Breakfast buffet was very good. Pool is very inviting. We were impressed with the service and friendliness of the staff. Every time we left the hotel, the security staff would hold an umbrella over us if needed and would help us find our Grab ride. We were especially impressed with two staff members: Sam, the food and beverage supervisor. He gave us personal attention and brought us a pot of herbal tea every morning. Sophia is an exceptional hostess. She took a personally interest in us and treated us like family. She would always ask how we were doing and what our plans were. She arranged a complimentary ride to the airport without us even asking.

Loved our stay! Excellent location! Attentive service from everyone. Clean rooms. Excellent morning breakfast and afternoon tea. Possibly one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. Often felt like a 5-star hotel bordering 6-stars. When we first arrived, they offered us refreshments along with cold hand towels—great touch! Also, when checking in and out, they let you sit in their super comfortable chairs while they handle paperwork (why don’t other hotels around the world do this, too?). Sophia (pictured) made our stay especially exceptional. Thank you!
