I hesitated to write this review because part of me wants to keep this place as a personal secret — but the team here truly deserves recognition. I first stayed at Diamond Bay Hotel in February 2025, and I returned again in February 2026, exactly one year later. This second visit was especially meaningful because it was my girlfriend’s first overseas trip, and also our first international journey together. Coming back reminded me of something I strongly believe: a truly great hotel is not defined only by facilities or design. It is defined by the people who shape the experience inside it. And at Diamond Bay, the people are the real gem. (This is a review of the Elite Suite. I stayed in Room 1611.) Quick Summary (Elite Suite) Pros: - Spectacular corner panorama (ocean + coastline) - Massive living space with a living-room-centered layout - Wood floors (no carpet), clean feel, and a quiet/private atmosphere - Genuinely caring, human-centered service (the reason I returned) - Direct connection to Nha Trang Center (very convenient) Good to know: - Kitchenette is for light use only (no cooking) - Elevator situation was smooth during my Feb 2026 stay (all 3 lifts operating) 1. The Elite Suite: “Your Private Ocean Observatory” This review focuses on the Elite Suite (approx. 90 m²) — and I’ll be direct: the view is not just “nice.” It is exceptional, and it becomes part of your day from the moment you open your eyes until the moment you fall asleep. The Elite Suite is a corner room with floor-to-ceiling glass on two sides. One side gives you an endless, front-facing ocean view; the other side captures the coastline stretching along Tran Phu Beach toward the city/plaza direction. The two glass walls meet at the corner, creating a panoramic scene that feels less like “a hotel view” and more like a private observatory built above the sea. What makes it special is not just how pretty it looks in photos — it’s how the view feels alive throughout the day. Sunrise. Morning walkers and swimmers. Waves and wind. The shifting colors of the ocean as the sun angle changes. The beach’s energy in the daytime, and the calm night atmosphere later on. You don’t “look at the view once.” You live with it, and it keeps changing. After researching many beachfront hotels in Nha Trang, I honestly did not find another room that delivers this kind of uninterrupted dual-angle panorama in the same way. Many “ocean view” rooms in many cities come with the usual stress: a blocked angle, a neighboring building in your sightline, or a view that doesn’t match the marketing photos. In the Elite Suite, I felt unusually free from those worries — it feels designed to be about the view. If your Nha Trang trip is a story, this room is not a “chapter.” It is the masterpiece scene. 2. Space & Layout: A Suite Built Around the Living Room At 90 sqm, the Elite Suite is genuinely massive — roughly the size of about 2.5–3 standard hotel rooms (many standard rooms are around 33–35 sqm). But what matters more than the number is how the space is used. This suite feels like it was built with a clear philosophy: the living room is the main stage. - Bedroom + relax chair - Main bathroom with shower + bathtub + double sinks - Large living room with sofa seating, a dining setup, and another relax chair - An additional guest restroom (sink + toilet), which is surprisingly convenient The dining table was set in a way that made the room feel ready for an occasion — and honestly, the best “restaurant table with a view” in Nha Trang can be found right here inside the Elite Suite. It’s the kind of space where you realize: sleeping here is almost the smallest thing you can do. 3. Cleanliness & Comfort: Wood Floors (No Carpet) + Strong Soundproofing One change I personally loved compared to my 2025 visit: the flooring. Last year, the room had carpet. This year, it had been replaced with clean herringbone-style wood flooring. This is a huge upgrade in daily comfort — no carpet smell, less dust anxiety, and a more hygienic feel overall. If you’re someone who dislikes hotel carpets (especially many Korean travelers), this will feel like a relief. Soundproofing also felt stronger than typical rooms, largely because the suite layout creates an extra buffer: there is a separation between hallway → suite, and suite → bedroom. That double-layer structure made the room feel calmer, with less corridor noise. Shower drainage in my room was also smooth — I did not experience water overflowing out of the shower area. 4. Water Quality Note (Filter Shower Head Travelers Will Understand) I travel with a filter shower head, and across an 8-night stay, I only changed the filter once around day 4, and even then it wasn’t severely discolored. If you’re sensitive about water quality, I think you can feel reasonably comfortable here. (For perspective: in some coastal areas — including around Cam Ranh — I’ve seen filters darken in as little as 10 minutes. That was not my experience at Diamond Bay.) 5. Service: Humanity Over Protocol (True Hospitality, Not a Script) Now the most important part — the part that made me come back. Diamond Bay’s service is not robotic “five-star etiquette.” It is something much rarer: human-centered hospitality with emotional intelligence. One particular detail left a profound impression on us. During the first two days, the TV welcome message displayed my name (which makes sense, since the booking was under my name). But on February 4th (2026), without any request from me, it was quietly changed to my girlfriend’s name. That was not a technical adjustment. It was an intentional and deeply thoughtful gesture. This trip was her first overseas journey — in many ways, she was the true heart of this visit. By placing her name at the center of the welcome message, someone on the team recognized what truly mattered and gave her a moment of being genuinely seen. That level of observation and sensitivity is rare even in well-known luxury chains. Many guests might never notice this kind of invisible care, but to me, that is exactly what defines real hospitality. And because the care arrived naturally — without being “performed” — it felt even more sincere. 6. Improvements vs Last Year: Elevators (2 Lifts → 3 Lifts Operating) A practical note: in my 2025 stay, only 2 out of the 3 guest elevators were operating due to maintenance. In 2026, all 3 elevators were operating, and even staying on a higher floor, I didn’t feel real elevator stress during peak times (breakfast, check-in/out, gym rush). This improvement matters more than people think — it quietly upgrades the entire daily experience. 7. Location & Convenience: “Everything Works Without Leaving the Block” The hotel’s connection to Nha Trang Center makes the stay extremely convenient. You can handle daily needs without long walks in heat or rain. Lotte Mart nearby is also very helpful for snacks, essentials, and travel supplies. 8. The Real Ending: Diamond Bay as “Home” Some people see hotels as places to sleep. For me, a hotel can be something else: a place where you feel protected in a foreign city, where experiences form, and where you remember people — not just rooms. Diamond Bay delivered that. The true gem of Diamond Bay Hotel is not the building — it is the people. And the Elite Suite is the masterpiece stage where those feelings become vivid. There are good and bad points for the hotel. Good: great location across from the beach, amazing views from our room over the beach, great breakfast buffet, free access to a huge gym, lots of shops around, nice pools. Bad: quite old and run down, the lifts are very inefficient, WiFi impossible to connect to at times, pools too cold to swim in, lots of Chinese tour groups, lots of locals using the lifts to the gym making getting in a lift even harder. Good value for money but not quite what I would expect as 5 star
