Departure with destination Denpasar. Night on board.

Denpasar - Canggu

Transfer to the hotel in southern Bali. Overnight stay.

Canggu

Includes: Breakfast
Breakfast. The first stop of the day will be at Tanah Lot, one of the Hindu temples most revered by the Balinese. It's perched on an islet and takes on different forms depending on the tide. When the tide rises, the rock is completely covered, but for a few hours a day when it falls, you can walk out almost without getting wet. Legend has it that the temple is guarded by snakes. The next visit will be to Taman Ayun, which means "beautiful garden". Its charm comes from the pool encircling the complex, the lush trees and the stunning landscape. Onward journey to the rice terraces of Jatiluwih in the Penebel district. Jatiluwih, nestled right by the Batukaru Mountains, is an agricultural area famous for its rice terraces, which still use the traditional Subak irrigation system. It's said that the rice grown here is the best on the island thanks to its great texture. Between February and April, the terraced plants are tall, green and yellow, and in June and July they're ready for harvest. Return to the hotel and rest of the day free.

Banyuwangi - Ubud

Includes: Breakfast
Today we'll visit Ijen. At around one in the morning, we'll set off by jeep to Ijen National Park, which opens its doors at 2.00 am. We'll start off with a ninety-minute moonlight trek, using torches to light up the path. We'll come across peasants and miners on the way. And then we'll reach the volcano crater. We'll decide among ourselves how close we want to get to this amazing natural spectacle. The Kawah Ijen volcano is the scene of some pretty unusual phenomena. The fire of the volcano is blue and releases sulphur dioxide, a highly toxic gas that is the main cause of acid rain. Flames adorn the descent of liquid sulphur rivers in full combustion. Watching the sunrise from the crater is a breathtaking experience. When the sun comes up, the crater lake starts to dazzle, contrasting with the grey of its walls and highlighting the turquoise waters, produced by the sulphur and aluminium sulphate. We'll head back to the hotel at around 09.00, in time for breakfast. Afterwards, we'll head back to the island of Bali to stay in Ubud. Arrival and rest of day at your own leisure.

The trek can be short or long, depending on what we want at the time, and we'll be accompanied by the ranger and the guide. Lunch on board. To round off the day, nothing better than admiring the sunset in a stunning location, where we can also spot thousands of bats taking flight in search of food on other islands. Important remarks

- Triple rooms in Indonesia are generally rooms with twin beds or a double, in which a folding bed is installed to accommodate the third person. Due to the inconvenience this causes, we advise against using this option as far the possible.

- The baggage allowance on domestic flights of most airlines in India is usually 15 kg per person, so lower than on international flights. Please take account of this when packing your bags.

- Please check with your international vaccination centre about the recommended healthcare measures in Indonesia.

- Indonesia is a Muslim country and the month of Ramadan is of major significance to its residents. During Ramadan, entertainment and alcohol will be restricted in most of the country. The sale of alcohol will be restricted in many places, although some establishments will offer alcohol for sale to tourists. During this period, local businesses may also have shorter opening hours.

- Depending on the return flight, the trip may be one day longer.

- To reconfirm services at the destination, please send us your passport details within 24 hours of booking.

- Please check which documents are required to enter the country.

- The Ijen volcano is closed on the first Friday of every month. We recommend, whenever possible, choosing a departure date that avoids this circumstance. In case of coincidence, the visit cannot be carried out.

- The order of the itinerary may be altered for logistical reasons, without prior notice, but no scheduled trips will be cancelled (except in the case that adverse weather conditions prevent its realisation).

- A credit card is considered a guarantee, so sometimes you will need one for check-in at hotels.

- Prices are calculated based on admission fees to the sights as of the date of publication. If there is an increase in these prices, you will be promptly informed.

- If you are a person with reduced mobility, please contact us to confirm the suitability of the trip.
