Combining the excitement of cruising with the sophistication of a five-star hotel, Britannia isn't just the biggest ship ever built exclusively for the British market, she's the most glamorous too. Your first moments on board are sure to be truly memorable as the spectacular "starburst"centrepiece of her atrium comes into view. All five of her Food Heroes are represented on board Britannia in her bars, cafés, restaurants, menus and cookery school. A theatre with a full LED wall for a truly immersive experience, a seriously stylish spa and a one million pound art collection are just some of the other many highlights you'll discover on board.
A brand new innovation for P&O Cruises, The Cookery Club is a dedicated space on deck 16, comprising of 12 cook stations (maximum capacity 24 cooks) with a chef’s performance area at the front. Each station is fully plumbed in with hobs and prep space, allowing for a fully participative experience. Special cameras will pick up all of the finer detail and be relayed on screens for the participants to follow. This is a great opportunity to learn from the professionals, whether passengers are beginners or keen cooks.
Britannia will be running regular 2 hour cooking classes throughout the cruise, including a wide range of cuisine, from European, Asian to baking, and even children’s classes. James Martin is the face of The Cookery Club and will be devising dishes and classes, and travelling on selected cruises during the maiden season to deliver the classes in person. But when he’s not travelling, the dedicated Cookery Club team, recruited and trained by James, will teach James’ dishes. Following the session, the class will get the opportunity to enjoy the results of their labour alongside the chef!
With age-specific clubs, a night nursery, a boatload of activities and enthusiastic Reef Rangers on hand, The Reef is the place to be for under 18s. There’s even a teens-only pool deck.
If you can’t keep your children out the water they’ll love Britannia’s main pools – also with a children’s splash area, they’ll be entertained for hours on end!
Teenagers will be delighted to discover their very own outside space on Britannia. A first for our fleet, this is sure to be the place to hang out with their new friends.
While the kids are blissfully occupied at The Reef, you'll find the adult equivalent: some quiet time at the Serenity Pool & Bar. Take a dip, order your favourite drink and relax!

It is mandatory for all UK guests to have suitable travel insurance cover in order to cruise with P&O Cruises to cover unforeseen incidents before your holiday, while travelling or while you’re away.Normally travel insurance would cover the cancellation of your holiday, stolen belongings and medical treatment. Please make sure you have the right level of cover and that your insurance provides full cover for a cruise holiday, the full length of the trip, all of the destinations you’re visiting (you can choose a worldwide cover to be sure). Also, you should ensure that your policy includes cover for travel, cancellation and curtailment, you must declare any pre-existing medical conditions, and read each policy thoroughly to make sure you have the cover you could need. When travelling with P&O Cruises, your insurance has to include medical and repatriation cover of £2 million minimum that includes cover for emergency evacuations and medical expenses related to COVID-19. On the day of embarkation, your insurance documents will be checked at the terminal. Boarding will be denied, at your own expense, for anyone without appropriate cover.
A P&O's Future Cruise Credit (FCC) is when P&O Cruises turn the money you’ve paid towards a holiday into a credit, almost like a voucher. This means your holiday fund stays where it is and can be used towards a future cruise. All guests with a holiday cancelled due to the cruise line's extended pause will automatically receive a 125% FCC. This can be used on any new booking made before 31 December 2021 for any holiday on sale during that period. Once you have received an email to say you can use your FCC online, you can use it against any new cruise booking and can also redeem FCCs for all guests travelling on the booking. Please contact us for more information and help regarding Future Cruise Credits. Our agents will be happy to help you.
