Valletta (Malta)

Valletta is the capital of Malta, situated in the east central portion of Malta. It is the second southernmost capital of Europe. The City was officially recognised as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1980. The city is essentially Baroque in character, with elements of Mannerist, Neo Classical and Modern architecture in selected areas. Building dated The city consists of buildings from the 16th century onwards, built during the rule of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem, also known as Knights Hospitaller. The official name given by the Order of Saint John was Humilissima Civitas Valletta The Most Humble City of Valletta. The bastions, curtains along with the beauty of its Baroque palaces, gardens and churches, led the ruling houses of Europe to give the city its nickname Superbissima, Most Proud.

Souda Bay (Chania, Crete)

Relaxation is easy in Souda Bay, a horseshoe of pristine sand and sparkling sea, sheltered by hills. But its military background means peace hasn’t always been so forthcoming. There’s reminders of World War action at the cemetery; and across the bay the fortressed Island of Souda was once a battleground between the Greeks and the Ottomans. Roger Moore’s high speed boat chase in For Your Eyes Only was filmed here. West of Souda is the charming old Venetian town Chania. Cobbled streets lined with colourful Venetian townhouses zigzag downward toward the harbour, which has a touch of Florence or Venice about it. Browse a mix of museums, churches and crafts en route, then walk the harbour wall to the oldest lighthouse in the world. End your day with a raki in a waterside café.

Mykonos

Probably the most famous of the Greek Islands, Queen of the Cyclades, and the most cosmopolitan. Mykonos, owes its fame to the beauty of its capital, its white houses narrow passages, and their numerous high quality beaches. Tourism is a major industry, and Mykonos is particularly renowned for its cosmopolitan nightlife; many international celebrities visit the island every summer and and its proximity to the island of Delos, rich in archaeological treasures.

What you need to know

Disability & Care Requirements

If you or your travelling companions require an accessible cabin, or in the unlikely event of an emergency on board would require assistance to be able to get to your assigned assembly point, please call us on +44(0) 20 3626 9656 to secure your booking. //

Guests who are unable to get to their muster stations independently (which could be down several flights of stairs because, in an emergency, lifts will not be available) due to a disability, health or mental capacity must be pre-registered for assistance to ensure we have sufficient support. Failure to provide this information could result in you being denied boarding at your own expense. If you do require assistance, using the below statements please advise us of the level of assistance required. *Someone to guide and steady me on the stairs (one-to-one assistance). For anyone bringing a mobility aid, such as a walking stick or walker, this is a recommended minimum requirement. *I'm unable to use stairs (I require an emergency evacuation chair). For anyone who is a full /part-time wheelchair or mobility scooter user, this is a mandatory requirement.

Insurance*

It is mandatory for all UK guests to take out comprehensive travel insurance for their holiday. It is essential that you let your insurer know you are taking a cruise holiday. Your policy must include medical cover of £2 million minimum that includes cover for emergency evacuations and medical expenses related to COVID-19. You must also ensure your policy includes cover for repatriation, cancellation and curtailment and full cover for any and all pre-existing medical conditions worldwide, or as a minimum, in the countries you are due to visit.

You will be asked to confirm you have travel insurance at the terminal and you may be asked to evidence this. Unfortunately you will be denied boarding, at your own expense, if you have not arranged insurance. P&O Cruises has partnered with Holiday Extras to offer appropriate, comprehensive travel insurance cover for our holidays. To find out more, visit www.holidayextras.com/pocruises or phone 0800 093 3070 and quote PAOHX. Holiday Extras offer three levels of cover to choose from: bronze, silver and gold. All of these available options meet our minimum requirements for travel insurance.
