London Tilbury

The London Cruise Terminal at Tilbury in Essex is situated on the River Thames just 25 miles east of London and 7 miles from junction 31 of the M25. The M25 motorway, providing access from all parts of the country, is just seven miles away. Approximate journey time in good traffic conditions from central London and London City Airport is one hour; from London Gatwick Airport and from London Stansted Airport one hour fifteen minutes; and from London Heathrow two hours. Rotterdam

Rotterdam is located about a half-hour away from The Hague and an hour from Amsterdam, and has the largest port in Europe, with the rivers Meuse and Rhine providing excellent access to Basel, Switzerland and into France. This city is known for its Erasmus University and the cutting-edge architecture as the large congress and concert building called De Doelen, many well known museums. Rotterdam has its own orchestra, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra with its world famous musical director Valery Gergiev, plus many theatres that includes the new Luxor theatre and movie theatres. Rotterdam has also a lively cultural life (the Ahoy complex located in the south of the city hosts pop concerts and all sorts of music, poetry and cinema festivals, exhibitions, tennis tournaments and other activities). Northwest of Rotterdam you will find the major zoo called Diegaarde Blijdorp complete with a walkthrough sea aquarium called Oceanjum.

Kirkwall (Orkney islands)

Kirkwall is the largest town and capital of the Orkney Islands archipelago, 10 miles off the north coast of Scotland. Founded around 1035, the City and Royal Burgh of Kirkwall is the capital and administrative centre of Orkney. The name comes from the Old Norse, which means church-bay and refers to a church older than the present day Cathedral. Some of the places you can visit are the Bishop's Palace & Earl's Palace, Highland Park Distillery, the Orkney Museum and St. Magnus Cathedral.

Stornoway (Outer Hebrides)

Originally a Viking settlement, Stornoway is now the main town on the island of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, situated around a bustling harbour and offering a range of local specialist shops selling local handcrafted goods (jewellery and the famous Harris Tweed). The traditionns are still there and the beautiful Isle of Lewis is considered the heartland of the Gaelic culture. It is also home to some of the most important prehistoric sites in Scotland including the Neolithic Callanish Stones and Pictish Carloway Broch.

Tobermory (Scotland)

Established in the late 18th century as a fishing port, Tobermory is one of the prettiest ports in Scotland. The picture-postcard village has a large natural harbour where colourful boats bob on the waves watched over by a rainbow of brightly, painted buildings backed by woodland-fringed hills. Tobermory is the capital of the Isle of Mull. Mull is the second largest island of the Inner Hebrides and its diverse landscape ranges from high mountain and wild moorland, to wave-lashed sea cliffs and sandy beaches. Neighbouring Iona is the tiny island where St Columba first brought Christianity to Scotland in 563 AD.

Belfast

Belfast Harbour (also the Port of Belfast) is a major maritime gateway in Northern Ireland, It is increasingly popular with cruise liners. Belfast is the capital and largest city of Northern Ireland and the second largest city on the island of Ireland after Dublin. Situated at the mouth of the River Lagan on Belfast Lough, Belfast is surrounded by low hills. After years of violence, its center has been polished up making it great to walk through the pedestrian streets, shop in its arcades and spend some time in its pubs or dine in its excellent restaurants. Belfast city centre is focused on Donegall Square and Belfast City Hall in its centre. The City Hall is the grand centerpiece of the city and the orientation point for your exploration of Belfast. Running north from the centre of Donegall Square is Donegall Place, a broad and bustling shopping street, which will lead you towards the Cathedral Quarter and the Arts School. Bedford Street, becomes Dublin Road, which, leads south to the University Quarter, area where you´ll find the Botanic Gardens, art galleries and museums. Belfast is home to a wide range of parks and open spaces, making it one of the greenest cities in Ireland. The Golden Mile is the area around Great Victoria Street beyond Bradbury Place and it is considered the city´s best address for restaurants and pubs. The famous I.R.A. and Protestant murals are just to the west of the city center and it´s perfectly safe to go there and take photos.

Ringaskiddy (Cork)

Ringaskiddy is a village in County Cork, Ireland. It has seen huge development in recent years. The village is close to picturesque areas such as Crosshaven and Monkstown. Ringaskiddy is protected by the hilltop Martello Tower, built in 1804 to defend against invasion by Napoleon, that offers panoramic views of Cork Harbour. Cork’s bustling city centre is brimming with fascinating shops and markets, and the welcoming, lively pubs are overflowing with live traditional Irish music. The hilltop steeple of 18th-century Shandon Church is a symbol of the city. Visit St Fin Barre's Cathedral with its splendid triple-spired example of French-Gothic architecture.
